The oval aluminium carabiners are used for applications with PPE against falls from height and for work at height, as well as for rope access and positioning procedures. For hardware such as pulleys and rope clamps, the oval aluminum carabiner is best suited, as it always holds the hardware in position. Oval aluminium carabiners are also often used to build pulleys. Due to their low weight, aluminium carabiners are used for work where many carabiners are required.
