The ROPSTOP III accompanies the user when climbing up and down and in the event of a fall it blocks the rope and catches the user safely. ROPSTOP III also has a manual blocking function and can therefore be clamped onto the kernmantel rope. This function is particularly useful when used as a restraint system.

The ROPSTOP III is available in various versions:

• Steel oval carabiner with band energy absorber attached to the ROPSTOP III with a screw link

• Steel oval carabiner with a 35 cm band connector attached to the ROPSTOP III

• Steel oval carabiner with a 60 cm band connector attached to the ROPSTOP III

The band energy absorber reduces the load on the human body to less than 600 kg (6 kN) in the event of a fall. If the ROPSTOP III is used with the "band connector" version, a separate band energy absorber must be installed in the system.

The ROPSTOP III is approved in combination with the following kernmantel ropes in accordance with EN 353 - 2:

• Dynaflex 12 mm

• Tutor XG 12 mm

• Patron 12 mm

The kernmantle ropes are made from the factory with end connections (sewn loop, sewn-in carabiner, end knot).

Specification:

• Fall arrest device made of galvanized and gold-chromated steel

• To open, several independent steps must be carried out:
  1. Open the safety bracket
  2. Press the flap
  3. Pull out the bolt
  4. The ROPSTOP III can then be opened"
